Rapids (M) Coaching Staff


Chris Burgess - Head Coach


Burgess has been coaching since he was 16 in Truro, NS. A former Team Nova Scotia and NCAA DII player, he was a two-time ECJLL All-Star and competed in the 2019 Presidents Cup. He spent four seasons as Head Coach and President of UNB Men’s Lacrosse and served as Co-Head Coach of the Moncton Mavericks. In 2023, he was Interim Head Coach of the New Westminster Salmonbellies Sr. B and was the Defensive Coach for Team NB at the 2022 Canada Summer Games. Currently, he serves as the Technical Director for Lacrosse New Brunswick. Named LNB’s 2022 Coach of the Year, he is committed to building strong team cultures and developing athletes.

Adam Gallop - Associate Head Coach

With a robust playing and coaching background, Adam honed skills both on and off the field and rink. From 2016 to 2019, Gallop played for the NB Mavericks in the ECJLL, followed by a successful collegiate career with the Emmanuel College Lions from 2019 to 2023 in NCAA D2, where he served as a 2-year captain. In 2021, earned an invite to the U21 Team Canada ID camp, and in 2023-2024, played for the UNB Reds in the Maritimes University Field Lacrosse League, earning accolades such as 2nd and 1st Team All-Stars, the League's Top Scorer, and Offensive Player of the Year. On the coaching side, this is Adam’s second season with the Rapids and he has also coached at Leo Hayes High School and with various youth lacrosse teams, working to develop the next generation of players.

Noah Webster - Offensive Assistant

Webster is a highly accomplished lacrosse player known for his leadership and offensive prowess. As a former Rapids team captain, he led by example on and off the floor, showcasing exceptional skill and determination. He was named the ECJLL Offensive Player of the Year and earned the league's Top Scorer title, solidifying his reputation as a dominant offensive force. His outstanding performance also earned him a spot on the ECJLL First Team, recognizing him as one of the league’s elite players.

Evan Richtsfeld - Goalie Coach

A native of British Columbia, Richtsfeld brings over a decade of coaching experience to the Rapids as Goalie Coach. A former Junior lacrosse goaltender with the Kelowna Raiders, Armstrong Shamrocks, and West Kootenay Wolfpack, he was drafted by the Nanaimo Timbermen of the BCJALL. His coaching résumé includes roles with the New Brunswick Jr. Mavericks, Lions Lacrosse Club, and Lax Goalie Rat, along with founding the UNB Field Lacrosse program. He currently leads the New Brunswick Goaltending Development Program, focusing on developing elite goaltenders across the province.
